Dear Friends of IFB,
Summer is slowly coming to an end, and we all start to pick up the pace of working life again. Lots of things have been happening at IFB. The team is growing with temporary / part-time support. The IFB membership base is growing and a senior level advisory committee has been formed. Members are contributing on the content and helping us to prepare for upcoming events.
Noor Aly and Wendy Braeken are doing valuable research on topics such as Impact Definitions, EU Regulation, Green Bonds, Market Development and Case Studies. We will seek input on these topics from selected members. The communications of IFB is supported by marketing expert Eva Balemans.
As for the events, the last days of August, we will celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the Impact House. This celebration comes with many interesting activities and an Open Doors Day with workshops on Friday 1 September. On Thursday 21 September, IFB will host the next bimonthly Members’ Talk. You can learn from two of our members how they target and manage impact in their portfolios. On both, more information just below.
Early October IFB will attend the GSG Impact Summit in Malaga. Our important impact network will get together to share the latest. The event is open to every organisation with an interest in impact. If you want to join us in Malaga, we have a number of free tickets.
Most important for your calendars is the 2nd Belgian Impact Day in Brussels on 8 November. We are proud to announce our first Keynote speaker, the program and the content of the sessions. We will share updates as they come in. Read on to find out more!
None of this without our network in Belgium. We look forward to your input and contribution on the content of different topics and to seeing you at one of our events.

Keynote Speaker Announcement - 2nd Belgian Impact Day
We are honoured to announce our first keynote speaker for the 2nd Belgian Impact Day! Sandrine Dixson-Declève has been redefining finance for decades and is therefore a crucial addition to our event.
She is an international climate change, sustainable development, sustainable finance and complex systems thought leader.
She is currently the Co-president of The Club of Rome together with Mamphela Ramphele, the first women to lead the organization in its history.

IFB Members’ Talk 21 September
For the upcoming edition on 21 September, we are very honored to have Laure Peronnin, Impact Associate of Astanor Ventures and Paul Buysens, co-CEO Incofin Investment Management speaking at the Impact House. They will elaborate on how their organisation incorporates impact in their business, how they include Impact in their financing decisions and how they target, measure and disclose impact in their portfolios. We look forward to the insights they will share with us!

GSG Global Impact Summit 2023 2 & 3 October
On 2 and 3 October, 38 impact organisations from across the globe will convene to discuss the latest on impact. With IFB we will primarily focus on the joint effort of different European NABs to jointly act on regulatory topics from the European Commission. The event in Malaga is full of practical information, social space and inspiring speakers, to help financiers, entrepreneurs and others to better include impact in their work.
