Who we are
Impact Finance Belgium (IFB) is a membership association with one goal: to increase sustainable and impact investments in Belgium. Our members include impact investors, banks, insurers, pension funds, asset managers and public investors. We advocate, publish research, organise expert events and connect the ecosystem. IFB is part of the GSG Impact network and of Eurosif.
The opportunity
We are looking for a proactive, analytical and motivated intern to support our team on key projects for six months. You will work closely with IFB's CEO and Project Managers, gain hands-on experience in the sector, and build valuable connections.
What you will do
Core project · affordable housing & infrastructure financing
- Research financing models for affordable housing and impact-oriented infrastructure.
- Analyse investment structures: public-private partnerships, blended finance, institutional capital allocation.
- Review case studies on how social and environmental impact is integrated into financing mechanisms.
- Support the analysis of impact measurement methodologies (KPIs, frameworks, reporting standards).
- Prepare analytical notes and synthesis documents.
- Help prepare and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
- Contribute to drafting a policy paper and recommendations.
Broader team support
- Research and analysis on other IFB projects (pension system, catalytic capital, the market survey).
- Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
- Attend meetings and prepare summaries or reports.
- Support day-to-day operations when needed.
Who you are
- A background or strong interest in sustainable finance, impact investing and real asset financing (infrastructure or housing).
- Autonomous, proactive and detail-oriented, and you enjoy working in a team.
- A good grasp of data analysis and the skills to assess financial and impact-related data.
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch, and in English.
- Curious, a critical thinker, eager to learn and to contribute to IFB's mission.
