About us

Finance as a force for good.

Impact Finance Belgium is a membership organisation representing a network of 65 members, spanning around 75% of the Belgian financial sector, committed to mobilising more impact finance to transform our society. As a platform, IFB is where pioneers and major players meet, collaborate and develop impact and sustainable investing strategies.

Who we are · a network for impact § 01

Impact Finance Belgium (IFB) is the place where all financial players, from impact-finance pioneers to major institutions, come together. We represent a network of 65 members, spanning around 75% of the Belgian financial sector, and we pursue a structural change of the financial system: one in which impact, alongside risk and return, is an integral and equal criterion in every financial decision.

Today, IFB members account for 14% of all assets under management in Belgium deployed for positive impact, an estimated EUR 113 to 138 billion. By 2030, our goal is to raise the share of positive-impact investment to 30% of all assets under management in Belgium.

What we do · build, support, represent, inspire § 02
Watch · what is Impact Finance Belgium? § 03
Beliefs · finance as a force for good § 04

Finance can and should deliver for people and planet.

Financiers should take up their responsibility alongside businesses, social purpose organisations, citizens and governments.

Addressing the societal challenges of our times requires a wide range of investors, capital providers and funders: from engaged grant-makers to impact investors, and from private players to public actors.

Impact finance must go beyond intentions. Generating and demonstrating positive, measurable social and environmental impact is crucial.
