On Tuesday, 14 May 2024, IFB held the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the members. The meeting was led by our Chair, Steven Serneels with Frederik van den Bosch presenting the financials representing Loïc De Cannière. The meeting had four points of dicussion:
- IFB Activities in 2023
In 2023, IFB organised and participated in various events. We were invited to speak at Impact House’ Impact Monday and Impact for Breakfast. In Q3 of 2023, IFB organised the first Members’ Talk with Laure Peronin from Astanor and Paul Buyssens from Incofin where the success leads to more talks planned (and some has been executed) for 2024. Lastly, we had the Second Belgian Impact Day, the biggest IFB event of 2023 with almost 500 participants, hundreds of Networking meetings and about 70 impact speakers.
Digitally, IFB launched the impactfinance.be website at the end of the year and with growing LinkedIn and newsletter communities.
- IFB’s Financial Report 2023
IFB presented the budget for 2023 in comparison with the actual income and spending. Overall, we are fully aligned with what we had planned in the year before.
- Approval of IFB’s Budget for 2024
- Appointment of the new Board Members
The last point of discussion was the onboarding of two new young board members. First, we had Aline Buysschaert, Blended Finance lead at Univercells and Audrey Hanard, partner at Dalberg.
At the meeting, IFB published the 2023 Annual Report which reported IFB’s operations in 2023.
