Belgian cities have large investment needs to deliver their climate plans, and public budgets alone will not cover them. At the same time, substantial private capital is available but struggles to find local climate projects with the scale, structure and risk-return profile it requires.
This roundtable, convened by Impact Finance Belgium as part of Brussels Climate Week, brings cities, investors, public finance and policymakers around concrete projects. Together they work out where the financing gap comes from, what makes a project genuinely bankable, and what needs to change to mobilise more public and private capital.
Date: Tuesday 13 October 2026, afternoon
Location: Machine Room, Maison de la Poste, Tour & Taxis, Brussels
This is a closed, invitation-only session held under the Chatham House Rule. Places are limited and reserved personally. More about the week on the Brussels Climate Week website.
